Romney wants Asian carp plan as soon as possible

We welcome Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to the cause of saving the Great Lakes from the scourge of Asian carp. Romney said if elected he would push the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to move faster to find a way to block the invasive species from establishing a home in the lakes.
Romney is right about the Corps. It has, as Abraham Lincoln once said of one of his generals, a bad case of the “slows.” And if Romney’s email last week to the Journal Sentinel is a sign of bipartisan support for pushing faster for a solution, we’re all for it.
